It had seemed to me almost impossible at first to feel reality in dreams. But now, I know fully well that the realm of Morpheus is as real and as alive as the world of reality.
Tel 'aran rhiod, as Robert Jordan puts it in his 'Wheel of Time' series, where we are manifested alive in the Dream World. One may almost put it in a more definitive term as 'Living in Dreams'.
I know I sound bizare. We cannot live in the Dreams. It sounds absolutely bizare even to think about accomplishing something in dreams, for it is only a dream.
In the Book 'Intrepretation of Dreams' by Dr. Sigmund Freud, Mr. Freud lucidy explained why we dream, what we dream and how we dream. And Mr. Freud was of the opinion that we dream so as to fulfil the wishes of our waking life. Which can be interpreted as we almost live a life in our dreams, and making accomplishments which we can only dream of in the waking world!!
After much practice and perseveration, I atlast have learn how to weave dreams and continue with a life which is so different from the life that I pursue in wakefulness. I am not saying that I have abandon the habit of living in the real world. I am saying that it is possible to live in another world where we can experience things that we can only dream of.
In the Land of Morpheus where the shadows lie.

Ofcourse dreams comes to you in beautiful forms. You just have forgotten how to recognise them. Keep a dream diary near your bed and write down interesting dreams you have as soon as you wake up from dreams. You will realise what a good life your dream self is living in the realm of Morpheus.
Dreams are so inherently similar to the core of a person's nature.... i dream only what i percieve of the situation..its been that ways for quite some time now.... but some time i'm apprehensive that an over-expansing dream might disturb my normal course of life... since i may start expecting what i dreamt even though it may be jump the pracitcalities and restrictions involved in life... i apologise for not being able to appreciate your substance in the dreaming context since my approach has always been pessimistic in this reagard......
'chao'-meaning good bye or c u later- (one of the two)
nice post john...
livin in dreams...always doin it..
but someday i hope to live my dreams
I die in dream,
I cry in dream.
I even fly in dream,
For that is why I dream;
In dreams I accomplish,
In dream I demolish,
In dreams I create,
In dreams I am the god,
For that is why I dream;
In dreams I am divine,
In dreams I drown,
In dreams I fall in deep ravine,
In dreams i wake from dreams,
For that is why I dream;

Well, we live different lives between reality and dreams. And they are so inherently different that to take out some similarity is quite an impossible task. Ofcourse Mr. Freud's explanation of dreaming does connect something with the living and the dreaming world but ever so slightly.
And to expect things from a dream in the living world is not good. Unless one dreams about the prophetic ones. And prophetic dreamers are quite rare. It has been 300 years since I heard the about the last prophetic dreamer.
So, chao is a chinese word then?
@dhruv
That is preposterous. To think about to live the life of dream in the real world. For it cannot be so. What is best for your is impossible for you. But next best is being alive in dreams.
@ha_he_hi
Nice poem. But that does not apply to me. I live to dream and I dream to live.
@luke
Ofcourse you get dreams, it is just that they are so unrelated to the waking world that they cease to exist the moment you wake up.
But yes, dreaming while being awake is a form of dreaming. And it has life of its own too. I too do that sometimes. And sometimes I succeed in carrying it forward into the realm or Morpheus.
yes..dreams..really an awesome thought...nice lines on it, as well!
@rohit
Thank you rohit. Sometimes I came up with some very weird stuff and this is one of it.
I die in dream,
I cry in dream.
I even fly in dream,
For that is why I dream;
In dreams I accomplish,
In dream I demolish,
In dreams I create,
In dreams I am the god,
For that is why I dream;
In dreams I am divine,
In dreams I drown,
In dreams I fall in deep ravine,
In dreams I don't die,
For that is why I dream;
Is dreams what I think,
Is dreams what I want,
Is dreams what I desire,
Its dreams that I think,
Its dreams that I want,
Its dreams that I desire,
For that is why I dream;
...................................
It was sort of uncomplete so completed it.
@ha_he_hi
Thank you for your beautiful poem. It matches so perfectly with my post.
i love dreams, and I live dreams.
I cannot imagine myself without them.
they're the terminal of my imaginnation active during sleep
i've had soem crazy soem scary soem true and some unforgettable ones
my mind is a dream factory
most have meanings, only vaguely understood.
but nthn happpends unless we dream.
n nthn happens if all we do is dream. thats it.
@phoenix
That is wonderful. I could not have put myself any better.
We're all living in an illusion... and vr so good at prending to be real, that we believe it ourselves...and forget the purpose of our existence.
@mirage
Yes, we do live in a world of illusions. And after some time, the thin line between illusions and reality vanishes.
